Batted First:

The 4^th XI are still searching for their first win after a tonking at Macclesfield on Sunday. Thanks to some great bowling by Rob McKie Macc were struggling at 80 for 5 before Knight and Kershaw were allowed to add an unbeaten 144, they were aided by half a dozen dropped catches. Knight registered his first hundred after notching his first half century the day before.

Of the top order only Coffey and Howe reached double figures as the side slumped to 44 for 9 of 18 overs. A last wicket partnership of 22 from Birtles and Eadie, whose contribution was a smartly timed leg glance for his first league run of the year, failed to add any respectability to the scorecard.
