Ashley vs Hale Barns

Date:  Sunday 13th July

Venue: Hale Barns

Toss won by: Ashley

Batted First: Hale Barns

‘ We came, we saw, we gave it away’

A game of two halves took place at Hale Barns on Sunday. Hale were invited to bat on a pudding of a pitch and were duly dispatched with ruthless aplomb by a sharp Ashley attack. A pretty good feat considering Ashley only had 9 players for most of the innings. Hale Barns were bowled out for 60 runs with the majority of the runs being made by Joe Cooper ( a very good batsman and sledger )

With only 61 required Ashley managed to play stupid shots and run each other out to hand victory to Hale. Only Wardle, Hatchell and the ever improving Semple contributing.
