The 4ths reached the halfway point in their first season and are still without a win. A very talented Northwich side made short work of the home sides decent score of 140 all out, Jamieson and East added 120 in 20 overs to take the 25 points.

 

The Ashley innings got of to the worst start with Hatchell bowled first ball of the match and it was soon 1 for 2 when Coleman was bowled. Griffiths stood firm as the middle order came and went and it took a 40 runs partnership between him and Jahanmogan to take the score to 88 for 7. Akshat hit 6 fours in his second score of 20+ and he added 35 for the last with with Hill. 

 

Credit to the Northwich side which consisted of 10 young lads and an old pro, the future looks good for the Vics if these lads stick around and take their place in the Saturday sides.

 

For Ashley a return of three draws and five defeats and 8th place out of 10 is a fair return given the lack of consistent run scorers. The opposition sides mainly strong County League sides with a depth of talent far deeper than we can manage. Hopefully the second half of the season will see a better points return and the odd win.
