Batted First: Ashton On Mersey

Two wins in succession for the boys from Ashley, with a fairly comfortable victory over Ashton On Mersey.

AOM batted first and were never allowed to get any fluency into their innings. Tommy S (1 wicket ) and Fuzzy Furnace ( 0 wickets )kept the AOM openers quiet, the first 6 overs going for only 28 runs. The rest of the bowlers were just as mean with great spells from Eaton ( 1 wicket ) McKie ( 1 wicket ) Paton (1 wicket )

Semple (1 wicket ) and the Skipper ( 0 wickets ) restricting AOM to a total of 75 runs. Special mention to the fielding again, with Blain, Oldbury, Aspden and Hatchell all doing great work.

After a few cheap wickets the Ashley lads reached their target with plenty to spare, with good knocks from Wardle, Smith and Eaton taking them home.

The under 15’s are beginning to look the business, just as the Under 13’S.
