Ashley vs
Mobberley
Date:27th July 2008
Venue: Church Road, Mobberley
Toss won by: Ashley
Batted First:
|
Ashley failed to record their 1st
win of the season despite having 58 overs to score 142. On a humid day the
Ashley openers generated more swing than a Bill Haley and the Comets record
to reduce the home side to 30 for 4. Even with some lusty hitting from Moore
and Bentley a score of only 141 was easily achievable on a fast scoring
ground. Only 3 Ashley lads made double figures thou, and Ashley were
dismissed with more than 30 overs remaining. Good luck to the Mobberley
umpire in his quest to be leading wicket taker for his club.
