Ashley slumped to a 41 run defeat at Alvanley this Saturday they were undone by the spin of Shewing and Fisher who between the took 8 for 73 off 25 overs. All appeared well as the openers raced to 26 off 5 overs with barber and Bradshaw adding a further 35 in 8 overs, but 61 for 2 soon became 96 for 7. Gandy offered some resistance as he hit 3 fours and 2 sixes, but Ashley was bowled out in only 38 overs. Early they had dropped Shewing, Pearce and Ackerley at a cost of 40 odd runs.

 

Next week we are at home to inform Northwich, making their first senior visit to Ashley in a long time.
